Turn Of The Tide

Since opening in October 2000, Turn of the Tide Gallery has gained a reputation for the quality of the work shown by artists and craftspeople from both Devon and Cornwall.

Situated a few yards from Teignmouth sea front in a pedestrian area, the gallery houses a continuing display of paintings by major local artists - some of whom are members of the South West Academy of Artists and the St Ives School of Artists.

The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and customers are welcome to browse. Turn of the Tide has something to offer everyone. Prices start at £1 and can go to £3000. There is stained glass by Fiona Angell. Ceramics by  Carol Scott, Jane Wellens and Louise Thorn. Jewellery by CJ Van Dop, Jane Mills, Hilary Bravo, Katie Gayle and Esther Pilcher. Glass by Norman and Lesley Stuart Clark. Photography by Mei Lim and Ken Holland. Paintings by Michael Praed, Robert Jones, Judy Hempstead, Hazel Brown, Caroline Atkinson and Sally Anderson, to name but a few of the artists and crafts people exhibiting at Turn of The Tide.

The Gallery now has a really good range of casual clothing to suit all shapes and sizes! The range includes Deal and Lazy Jacks together with Buff Headwear and Sativa Hemp Bags.
